These mugs are hand-painted in the Deruta region of Italy. “Ricco” translates to “Rich” in Italian. These patterns were based on Raphael’s Umbrian frescos in the Vatican from the 16th century and is one of Deruta’s most celebrated patterns. We’ve always loved the way these mugs bring an imperfect but traditional quality to the table.
